Not Being in the Dark in—or about—Your House

As I was out and about with a good friend, looking for a chandelier for my foyer, we heard a young couple also looking at chandeliers talking about their house insurance. They didn't seem to think it warranted too much thought at all. My friend and I looked at one another in disbelief. For both of us and our husbands, it's a matter of course to discuss such things thoroughly. This young couple seemed so in the dark that we almost wanted to say something, like "Look up MoneySupermarket and other companies out there…have a decent talk with them about this!" We were just grateful that we feel we have a good handle on things like this, and try to stay on top of other essential things, such as preparing for our children's education, etc. We focused back onto the search for a chandelier The more models we saw, I started to wonder about ease of cleaning as one of the deciding factors. After all, it's going to be me doing that. In talking it over with my friend and one of the sales people, I came to the decision that, even if there are many pieces to clean, as long as actually doing so isn't an absolute hassle, then I'm not going to worry about that too much in making my selection.
