How To Stay In Good Shape Well Into Middle Age

skimble workoutLooking at the title… I think you probably already know what I am going to discuss in this article. Make sure to pay some good attention, because you could learn a thing or two from me here. I have a lot of experience with this stuff and I can honestly say that I know a thing or two about getting in shape and fitness in general. A healthier body can undoubtedly lead to a much healthier mind, but when you increase the health of your mind, this will then also lead to you having a healthier body (source: Clinical research has proven beyond the shadow of any doubt that the simple act of smiling can make you feel better physically. Most people think that first they have to feel good and then they will start smiling automatically… but it turns out it works in two directions. You can also start smiling and then you will pretty much instantly start feeling better about yourself. Now do not ask me to back this up with hard evidence myself, because I don’t happen to have the scientific publications that back this up handy… I do however, strongly suspect it is true because of my own experiences with this.

small bench pressI have always enjoyed lots of laughters and merry making, because that’s just the kind of guy that I am. The whole reason I have an internet connection at all is because I love laughing at lots of funny stuff, and the internet has limitless supplies of funny stuff. I’ve always known that laughing is really good for your health, so I like to do it a lot. There have been many clinical studies on the science of laughter and health… and there is definitely a big connection there. Laughing, as healthy as it may be, isn’t going to help you shed the pounds and pack on the muscle and get a six pack, however. If you want to get in good shape and you just so happen to be in a good mood from laughing a lot, then you’re going to have to take action and visit your local gym sometime. I strongly believe that when I am increasing my health from multiple angles, that I will get the very best results… combining many things that are good for you will go far beyond the sum of its parts.

squat womanNot only do I make sure that I have a rich socially interactive lifestyle with loads of friends, I also make sure that I regularly get my physical exercise at my local gym a couple of times per week. I do have a full time job, so I know that I am asking quite a lot of myself here. But more often than not, I will find an hour and a half worth of time a few times throughout the week so that I can go to the gym and really hit that iron. A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away… I used to be overweight. And just kidding about the galaxy thing. This was about twenty years ago… but one day I simply entered the nearest gym I could find, signed up and started working out. At the time, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing because I wasn’t properly informed at all. But since any action is better than no action at all… I just hit the cardio machines a lot of the time. In retrospect, I should definitely have put the focus on things other than cardio, but thankfully I know a lot better these days. Too much cardio is a complete waste of time… and resistance training yields results that are so much better than the ones you get from running on a treadmill all the time.

the art of liftingIf only a person did not have to grow older in order to grow wiser… but alas, a person does have to do that. I might be a lot wiser, but I am also a lot older than I was two decades ago. The problem with aging, especially if you’re a man, is that your testosterone levels can start dropping off really quickly after age fourty if you’re not careful. I’ve done the research and I know what I am talking about. Your testosterone levels are pretty important, so do not neglect them. After age fourty, I started getting more aggrevated and irritated with life’s little unpleasantries… but luckily I had heard about test boosters earlier so I went online and did some research on the topic. A friend told me about them many years ago, and there was plenty of information to find on the internet. I was reading some reviews from people that have used them and they were saying that the stuff was definitely working for them. These boosters will help your own body to produce more testosterone, provided that you use them frequently, ofcourse. You can easily increase your testosterone levels to the levels that they were at when you were much younger¬†by using a booster such as Testofuel. But their effects are temporary. You have to keep using them.

Now I know what you’re thinking… you’re thinking I’m talking about illegal substances. I wanted to know up front that this had nothing to do with steroids, so I made sure to do my due diligence. I do not mind staying in good shape, but I’m not going to be the next Mr. Universe. Don’t get me wrong… I’d love to have a Schwarzenegger body, but do you realize how hard it is to maintain such a physique throughout a lifetime? Even Schwarzenegger himself was not able to do this. If you’ve seen recent pictures of him, you can clearly see that his glory days are behind him. I would much rather stay in ‘decent’ shape for a whole life, than being in ‘awesome’ shape for ten years and then have loads of saggy skin. A guy’s got to watch those test levels. They are key to male¬†health. I have seen the pictures of out of shape body builders, and I do not think it is a pretty sight. So that’s never going to be me.
